Rare and Large Scale 18th Century Chippendale Rococo Wall Mirror.

A George III period 18th century carved giltwood border glass mirror,

The Chippendale rococo wall mirror is of impressive size, with a pierced centre cresting cartouche pediment and integrated 'C' scrolls flanked by extended acanthus leaf motifs to the shoulders. The border glasses to the outer frame are adorned with open piercings, carved stiff leaf decoration and intertwined carvings of acanthus.

The large main plate is replaced but remains clear and practical and at the bottom  of the mirror the apron featuring carved rocks and upturned 'C' scrolls with a circular centre leaf motif.
