Edwardian Beech Half Pint Dry Measure.
A good beech half pint shop keeper's or corn chandler's dry measure with a brass rim, having an integral open side handle and bands of incised line decoration. The side is stamped with a crown above E2R 08, recorded as Bedford County from 1879 onwards. The whole has excellent turning rings to the interior and the base and has a pleasing colour retaining a patination.
