A set of rare and unusually heavy quality Rose Pattern silver dessert spoons and forks made for the Innholders Company ( founded 1473-Royal Charter from Henry VIII 1514)The service comprises 24 dessert spoons (all made in 1900 by John Marshall Spink of London)and 24 dessert forks (all made in 1927 by Elkington of London)The pieces must have been a special order as they are unusually heavy with the dessert spoons weighing around 2.9 Troy ozs each and the dessert forks only a little less.All 24 dessert spoons have Innholders 1900 discreetly engraved to the reverse and the dessert forks Innholders to the reverse cartouche and discreetly on the front-Given By J S Buckingham Master 1926/7.The spoons and forks are in good condition.We would be prepared to divide it up into two set sets of 12.Rose pattern is a rare and desirable pattern which was first produced by John and Henry Lias of London around 1820.
