William IV Mahogany Centre Table.

An excellent quality William IV period, 19th century mahogany centre table. Having superbly figured circular, tilting top over bold turned central column. Having stylised carved lotus to triform base, with elegant carved paw feet and concealed castors.

This fabulous quality table can be dated from a stylistic perspective to the relatively short, but well respected William IV period in the late 1830's. The transformation from the delicate and intricate designs associated with the late regency period, to the bolder, more heavily carved designs of the upcoming victorian period is very much evident in this table.

Constructed from fabulously decorative mahogany the circular tilting top retains an excellent colour and patina throughout and the table boasts excellent quality of construction and materials throughout.

A good size this table is perfect as a centre table in the hallway, on a landing or possibly even in a large living room. But also there is no doubt whatsoever that it would make an excellent breakfast table, or dining table.

As with all the items which we offer for sale it has been attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled, traditional antique furniture restorers, to ensure that it is good condition and ready to be placed straight into use in the home.
