BADA Gift List - Under £1000 The BADA Christmas Gift ListWilliam Greaves (1852-1938) was born in Leeds and studied at Sheffield College of Art. He travelled and exhibited widely at galleries including the Royal Academy, Royal Cambrian Academy, Manchester and Liverpool. He worked mostly in oils and his subjects include landscapes in and around Wharfedale in Yorkshire and Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire.
"The Meadow" is an oil painting on board measuring 10"x 13". It is signed lower right and dated 1922. It is framed giving an overall size of 15"x 19".
