This wonderful painting by Fred Cecil Jones "Across the Busy Waterway of Whitby" is a good large watercolour measuring 21" square. It is signed and dated 1938, and is framed giving an overall size of 27"x 28". On the reverse are extensive inscriptions and labels giving some interesting history and provenance relating to the picture. A superb painting of Whitby on the Yorkshire coast.
