This little vintage turtle brooch is made from solid 14 carat gold with a carved paste (hard glass) shell. It has tiny gold beads for eyes.
It's very realistic and is quite a character. All the legs, tail and the head are articulated so they move when the brooch is being worn. The shell is carved to look like lapis lazuli and the whole brooch has been handmade with a secure pin fitting to the reverse with a roller clasp to ensure its not going to run off when worn.
