Rare, spherical, ball or pod, futuristic, lime green, sofa or coffee table, the stainless steel top with ice compartment, vintage 1960s

1960s innovative, futuristic satellite/pod/ball design combining malleable materials to create the sphere and hardwearing top, using vibrant colour to make a statement and focal point.
Innovatively using, malleable fibreglass for the spherical, pod design which is stable.
Combination of stainless steel and the lime green finish is vibrant and fresh.
The fitted plastic lined ice tray is a useful feature when entertaining or during the heat of summer.
The chrome top is hardwearing and has a soft patina. The base is also durable and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Classic mid-century modern design with an innovative form combines style and functionality creating a funky, conversation piece.
Designer unknown, probably inspired by Eero Aarnio and Willy Rizzo designs of the period.
