Victorian Turquoise and Pearl Cross circa 1880.
A stylish late Victorian turquoise and pearl cross pendant in its original fitted case.
This elegant pendant has 6 oval cabochon turquoise gemstones and 5 half pearls finely mounted in a cross design. Each of the gemstones is in a rubover setting and the cross is closed to the reverse typical of the Victorian era. The cross is engraved in script to the reverse with " H.B. from W.A.W. ".
The cross has a generous runner ring allowing it to be suspended from a chain or ribbon and comes in its original fitted case by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co, London. It is in beautiful condition.
Era: Victorian, 1839 - 1901.
Measurements: Cross 3.4 cm in length, 2.2 cm wide.

Pearls assumed natural saltwater (untested).
2 Turquoise stones are slightly darker than the others - consistent with wear.
Hallmarks: Unmarked, tests as 18ct gold.
