A very grand Victorian silver and silver plate tea and coffee service with matching kettle and tray made by Thomas Smily of London in 1859. The four piece tea and coffee service is made in silver by Thomas Smily in 1859 and the matching kettle and stand and large tray in plate by Martin Hall and Company in the same year. The design of this beautiful set is sometimes referred to as Louis quatorze pattern and it is rare to find it complete with tray. The condition is superb and this would make a very impressive show on a sideboard or dining table. Both the teapot and the coffee pot contain over 3 UK pints each (1700 cl).

This object incorporates old ivory and has been registered with Defra
