A very fine set of early Victorian silver and mother of pearl fish knives made in Birmingham in 1854 by John Gilbert. Each is wonderfully hand engraved to one side with a mythical fish and they are all in excellent condition. They are in their original mahogany box which bears the Elephant crest of the family they were made for in 1854. These are about as early a date as one is likely to find fish knives and are perfect to use with any pattern of flatware / cutlery.
