Victorian Ruby and Pearl Flower Stickpin; French circa 1890.
An elegant late Victorian floral stickpin.
This stylish pin is modelled as a stylised rose with a ruby as the rose and diamond set leaves together with pearl 'buds'.
The ruby is a wonderful colour and finely claw set in an openwork mount. Each leaf is set with a rose cut diamond and fronted in silver.
The pin is French in origin and has French marks to the pin.
Era: Victorian, 1839 - 1901.
Measurements: Head of stickpin 1.5cm in length, 9mm at widest point.
Pin 5 cm in length, weight 1.3 grams.
Ruby estimated 0.18 carats wonderful colour - assessed Burma no heat.
Hallmarks: French 18ct gold marks tests as silver.
French makers mark.
