Victorian Rosewood Tunbridge Ware Tea Caddy.
The Tea Caddy is veneered to the exterior in Rosewood a domed lid featuring a heavily inlaid scene of Hever Castle and a tapered body down to a flared base. The exterior sides of the antique tea caddy are decorated with a framed banding of flowers and finished with a single band of geometric patterns. When opened the box reveals twin caddy lids with turned handles which when removed reveal the tea caddy compartments with traces of the original silver foil lining. The Tunbridge Tea Caddy dates to the late 19th century Victorian period circa 1875.
