About
Mark Goodger Antiques
Founded by Mark Goodger, Mark Goodger Antiques started life in 1998.
Their first sale was transacted on a cold, dark Saturday morning in November 1998, from a tiny stall on London’s Portobello Road.
Over the years, the Portobello Road stall provided many happy memories and interesting stories.
They no longer trade from Portobello, but now concentrate on selling via their website and at the UK’s major antiques fairs.
Stock
Mark Goodger’s distinctive stock is fine antique boxes and accessories.
They often stock a large range of historical objects associated with food and drink, such as tea caddies, decanter boxes, knife boxes and cutlery boxes.
Boxes used to store objects used for correspondence are also commonly in stock, such as lap desks, desk-top items and writing boxes.
Pastimes for ladies are represented by elegant sewing and work boxes, jewellery boxes and dressing cases.
Among their stock can also be found humidors, cigar boxes and vanity boxes, to name a few - all from a range of periods and made from a variety of materials.
Additional Services
Over the years, we have accumulated and developed a fantastic team of meticulous restorers and dedicated conservators who possess extensive knowledge of antiques and experience in the industry.
