Mahogany round dial wall clock with convex painted nine inch dial and convex glass with cast brass bezel.
The dial with Roman numerals, original ‘blued’ steel hands signed ‘Brown, Bungay’.
Eight day Fusee movement with anchor escapement and shouldered brass plates. Circa 1865.
Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World by Brian Loomes lists William Brown as working in Bungay, Norfolk from circa 1865 to 1879.
