A late Victorian swallow design stock pin.

The stock pin has a flying swallow set with rosecut diamonds to the body and outstretched wings. The swallow has a cabochon ruby eye and is set in silver and gold typical of the era.

The swallow was seen as a symbol of enduring love and loyalty and was a popular subject in jewellery during the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

This lovely brooch has a stock pin to the reverse.
