A large Victorian diamond set gold locket.
This fabulous piece has an old cut diamond set within a star design to the front with an intricate scrollwork engraved design to the reverse. It is a rich warm yellow gold in colour.
Designed to be worn either side the locket is hinged with a compartment inside to hold a photograph (sadly lacking the original frames). The locket is large for the era and in wonderful condition.
The locket has a large tapered hinged bail to allow a chain, ribbon or albert to pass through.
