A rare one date and maker Victorian Antique Silver Fiddle Thread and Shell Pattern Cutlery /flatware service for 12 in the fiddle thread and shell pattern all made in the last year of Queen Victoria’s reign 1901 by Joseph Rodgers and Son of Sheffield (one teaspoon 1843 London).

This heavy quality service is quite extensive and features extremely rare Victorian round bowl soup spoons (instead of the more commonly encountered table spoons).

The service comprises 12 round bowl soup spoons, 24 table forks, 12 dessert spoons, 12 dessert forks and 12 tea spoons and 6 tablespoons for serving. In addition there are a pair of sauce ladles, a basting spoon and a soup ladle.

The knives to match are in the thread and shell pattern and comprise 12 table knives and 12 dessert knives with silver handles and stainless steel blades. These were made later and are safe to use in a dishwasher.
