Very Small 18th Century Mahogany Chest.

A Charming 18th Century, Chippendale Period, Mahogany Chest Of Exceptionally Rare Small Proportions, Retaining Superb Untouched Colour And Patina Throughout, With Well Figured Recvtangular Top Over Slide And Four Drawers, With Original Brass Swan Neck Handles, Raised On Elegant Original Shaped Bracket Feet.

A particularly good quality little 18th century georgian mahogany chest which remains in excellent functional condition. Overall the quality of the mahogany timber and the construction is exceptional and that is why it has clearly lasted so well, having been well used no doubt, but also very clearly well loved.

The size, or should we say the lack of size, is another exceptional feature of this lovely little chippendale period chest of drawers. Put simply it is incredibly rare to find chest of drawers of this size full stop, let alone ones that are 18th century, untouched and of such superb quality. It is perfect for such a huge variety of spaces around both the home and office and also incredibly functional. It would be absolutely great alongside a bed as a bedside table for example, something which the majority of chest of drawers are too big for.

It also retains it's original handles and feet which is another most desirable feature indeed.

As with all of the items which we offer for sale this chest of drawers has been inspected in our workshops by our highly skilled, trained professional antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish to ensure it is ready for immediate placement within the home.
