A rare and unusual Gilbert Marks lapis lazuli stone set bowl. The bowl is hallmarked for Gilbert Marks and carries his engraved signature. This bowl represents the further development of Marks’ work.
The bowl is inset with large deep blue lapis lazuli stones in the arts and crafts style with the entire design and shape of the bowl of organic art nouveau influence. As with all Marks’ work the repousse flowers, with their lapis centres, are extremely fine
