A finely carved lozenge form tobacco or snuff box, decorated with fluently detailed stylised acanthus decoration in a style typical to the Gudbrandsdal Region of Norway. In untouched original condition, with excellent richly patinated surface retaining some traces of historic painted decoration. Evidence of age and use with scars and bruises but no significant damage or restoration.Stock number
