Thomas Peters (1863-1939) was born in Stoney Middleton, Derbyshire and later lived in Sheffield. He was a pupil of Stanley Royle.
"On the Edge of the Weir, River Derwent" is an oil painting on canvas measuring 25"x 32". It is framed in the original gilt frame giving an overall size of 31"x 38". It is signed lower left and is dated 1930. There is a nice old label on the back with the title "On the Edge of the Weir, River Derwent".
