Terra Cotta Bust.
Terra Cotta, which is fired clay, has a seductive charm and intimacy all too often lacking in marble and bronze works of art.
Although signed and dated 1949, I have been unable to trace the potter of this bust of a young Dutch lady.
I do know that my late Father acquired it many years ago and it appears in a family photograph from the 1970s.
