Striking Lori carpet.

Antique Lori carpets were woven by nomadic tribes in southern Persia and these gorgeous pieces come with a rich history and tradition. These high category tribal weavings are widely appreciated for their individuality, exceptional quality and  creative simple designs with wonderful colour combinations which sets them apart from other rugs.

This striking Lori carpet dating beginning of the 20th century is finely woven in soft silky wool. The muted blue-grey field provides great contrast to the bold graphic drawing, framed by a wide ivory border. The variety of colours are all vegetable dyed which have aged nicely.

A timeless example that would be a great addition to classic or contemporary settings.
