A large Mexican sterling silver wine cooler of Scandinavian style, in the form of a vase, plain tall sides with flared rim, applied with two fruiting vine drop handles, with applied open –work band with clusters of grapes and scrolls, on a spreading circular foot.Codan of Mexico City were very famous for making Scandinavian designs and this certainly has a Georg Jensen feel to it .This is a fair bit larger than most wine coolers.
Mark of Codan , incuse marks MEXICO STERLING 925, also Eagle mark numbered 7 for Mexico City.
