A very fine and rare oval Sterling Silver Liberty and Company Tray, almost certainly designed by Bernard Cuzner.
The tray has a beautifully hammered surface ( making it difficult to photograph!) and of an exceptional weight.
The tray stands on four compressed bun feet ( which are hallmarked) and the oval hammered surface is surrounded by a naturalistic shaped border which was hand made separately and then soldered on to the central section-this border is hallmarked (as it was made as a separate piece).
A very fine and rare tray.Silver trays by Liberty and Company (especially of this quality) are very scarce unlike items such as tea and coffee sets which can be found.
The tray is in excellent condition.Large enough to take a four piece tea and coffee set.
