Specimen marble pietre dura top table.
The top inset with a large central square section of marble surrounded by two marble borders which are repeated in rectangular sections either side and surrounded by one hundred and thirty six small square specimens to create a geometric design.
The marbles from Italy and Asia Minor including malachite and lapis lazuli. Enclosed within a marble border.
Currently united with a low iron base in the manner of an iconic piece by Marcel Coard (1889-1974).
