Small 19th Century Bowfront Chest Of Drawers.

A Good Quality And Attractive Mid 19th Century Mahogany Bowfronted Chest, Of Unusual Diminutive Proportions, Having Well Figured Top Over Two Short And Two Long Figured Drawers With Replacement Brass Oval Plate Handles, Raised On Elegant, Original, Tall, Splay Feet.

This compact and practical little Victorian bow front chest of drawers is slightly better quality and a little more decorative than most which can be found from that period, whilst being significantly more affordable than earlier Regency and Georgian examples.

From a practicality perspective it is a great little size, which opens up the possibility of being able to use it in a much wider selection of environments and it would even make a fabulous little bedside chest of drawers.

The brass handles are replacements, it has had various handles and knobs in place previously, but the current oval plates sit nicely on the chest and add to the overall elegance of the piece. It also retains its original splay bracket feet which are a little taller than normal, meaning the chest stands up very proudly with additional elegance.

As with all items which we offer for sale this small antique chest of drawers has been inspected and attended to in our workshops, by our highly skilled, trained antique furniture restoration specialists and received a natural wax polish to ensure it is ready for immediate placement within the home.
