A silver gilt Royalist medal with the profiles of Charles I and Henrietta Maria by Thomas Rawlins (c.1620 - 1670).

English, circa 1643. 

Measures 4.3 x 3.2cm.

To one side can be seen a profile bust of King Charles I facing dexter, along with text” CAROLVS D.G. MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. RX".

To the reverse is the profile bust of Queen Henrietta Maria facing sinister, along with with the text "HENRIETTA MARIA D.G. MAG. BRITAN FRAN. ET. HIS. REG."

At the base of the bust of Henrietta Maria can be found the name ’T(homas) Rawlins’.
