A very fine set of 1st standard French basting / serving spoons made in Paris in circa 1880 by Francois Nicoud of Paris. The spoons are of beautiful quality with fine hand engraving by a renowned silversmith in Francois Nicoud who worked between 1875-1880 at 19, Boulevard de Strasbourg in Paris and he won a silver medal at the 1878 Paris Exhibition. They are in excellent condition and of a heavy weight and of an unusual size - midway between a normal size table/serving spoon and a full size basting spoon(26 cms long). A lovely set.
