Set of Four Seamed Candlesticks.
A rare set of four white metal candlesticks; paktong or nickel.
Each candlestick is made in two halves soldered together vertically and then screwed to their bases. Each base is marked so as to receive the correctly corresponding stem and each base is stamped at its circumference edge with two cuspate crescent moons to either side of the initials PB.
They are finished beneath silversmith fashion; this is to say lathe finished.
Continental probably late eighteenth century, perhaps early nineteenth century.
Base dia: 3.5 in x 6.75 inches high.
