18th Century Small Apple Wood Nutmeg or Spice Grater.
A small excellent quality Georgian two section apple wood travelling mortar grater. The pestle has a collared knob and metal grater and the mortar has extensive reeded turned and incised line decoration. The whole has an excellent colour, as often found in fruitwood items and a lovely patination.
