Early 19th Century Lignum Vitae Auctioneer's Gavel.
A large well turned lignum vitae auctioneer's gavel in both heart and sap wood and of traditional proportions, having a shaped turned handle, again in both heart and sap wood, that has incised line decoration. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.
