A good quality solid mahogany shove halfpenny board, having inset hinged brass dividing rods to each horizontal line, a brass semi-circular raised gallery to one end, and ten Georgian halfpennies. These boards were often found in inns and public houses for people to pass away the time or to hold a competition. The whole has a good rich colour and retains a patination.
