A most attractive 19th century yew wood salt, having a lip with a small incised top line, that is followed by two further bands of triple incised lines on the bowl, which is raised on a concave bladed stem and knop, seated on a swept stepped base with a vertical foot. The underside is slightly concave and showing pole lathe turnings. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.
