An interesting early 18th century turned sycamore food bowl, having a once circular shape that is now attractively distorted with a wavy edge and caused by natural use and shrinkage. The interior has pole lathe turnings and the base has a hand chiselled finish, which further adds to the attraction. The whole has a good natural colour and patination.
