A medical glass tube with a cork stopper inscribed Albuminimetre Selon Esbach, housed in a travelling circular beech case with a stepped screw foot piece. This item was used for a laboratory measurement of urine albumin and urine total protein in screening for a proteinuria in chronic kidney disease. The case has a pale colour and retains a patination.
