An early 19th century beech flat cake board, which has been used on one side as a cutting board, making it a dual purpose item for a busy kitchen. The D shaped rounded and chamfered top has a protruding short flat handle, which conforms with the rest of the board. It has a most satisfying weight and is of thin construction. The whole has a lovely colour and original patination.
