A lovely and most attractive masur birch butter bowl, having a fitted lid with a raised central knob handle, held between two raised supports and a sliding bone fixing plate. The base, of angled bucket form, has three bands of reeded decoration. The whole has a wonderful honey colour and patination, with lovely markings as often found in masur birch. It is a most desirable item.
