An unusual yew wood cribbage board in the form of two books, that are hinged in the centre and open to reveal a cribbage board. It has a recessed area for the four pegs and another for a deck of playing cards. The edges are carved with cross hatched decoration, and the divided spines simulate leather bound books with incised lines on each outside cover. The whole has an excellent faded colour and patination.
