A most attractive wall mounted tapered oak knife box, having a crossbanded mahogany border and boxwood stringing. The cockbeaded central panel is inlaid with a knife and fork in rosewood and boxwood. The top, with a sliding lid, has brass hinges and a shaped backboard with a hole for hanging. An interesting old label is attached to the underside of the lid. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.
