A small Victorian boxwood apothecary's bottle case, Pinto suggests that the flat top examples with overhanging rims were mostly made between 1840-1870. The case unscrews in the centre to gain access. The bottle is now missing. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.
English Circa 1850.
