An unusual late 18th century Scandinavian birch brick shaped butter mould of wedge and nailed construction, having an interior with a central hole and carved design. The base has carved initials E.N.D. and M.T.D. and dated 1793. The whole has a lovely pale honey colour and excellent patination.
