A most unusual Welsh knife and fork in carved fruitwood, having a knife with a flat pointed blade suface and open centre. Its handle has a vacant tapered lantern below a circular ring. The fork has four tines below two vacant tapered lanterns and a circular ring. Both are very much in the manner of carved Welsh love spoons, expertly carved and of delicate proportions. They have a good colour and patination.
Welsh Circa 1840.
