Bullion wire embroidery, blue cloth and regimental pattern lace on scarlet cloth. Pointed hind quarter of an officer’s shabraque (saddlecloth), comprising a Queen’s crown, over First World War battle honour scrolls for Ypres 1914, Messines 1914, Pursuit to Mons, Le Cateau, Retreat from Mons, Marne 1914, Gheluvelt, Frezenberg, Loos, Arras 1917, Somme 1918, Amiens, Cambrai 1918, Sambre, Hindenburg Line, and France and Flanders 1914–18, with the Garter star below, all within double stripes of gold lace all round showing quarter inch of blue cloth between the stripes. Frame inscribed verso ‘CoH Rushton’. Glazed.
