Victorian figured rosewood Wellington chest with good architectural features including well carved corbels at the top and bottom of the pilasters, a slanted cornice moulding above the frieze, raised mouldings around the pilasters and the graduated drawers. I also like the hinged compartment under the top, the unusual feature of the locking pilaster in 2 halves with 2 locks, the panelled back, mahogany drawer linings and a good original colour.
This is a rather better model than usual and a slightly larger than normal size.
