A repoussé silver gilt book cover containing a book of common prayer. Decorated with images of Saint Barbara to one side & Saint Philomena or Euphemia to the other, the rest of the cover profusely decorated with flowers & putti to the spine. The cover is probably German although unmarked, 17th century, the book of prayer within is c.1838. Measures 12.5 x 8 x 6cm.
