An unusual Regency period mahogany freestanding double sided bookcase; the top veneered in well figured Cuban mahogany above a frieze drawer and having two graduated shelves to the front and three shelves to the rear; having elegantly turned spindles to either end and raised on turned legs which retain their original brass cap castors.
This bookcase is a highly practical piece of library furniture, it can either be tucked away against a wall or drawn up to a desk when researching. The bookcase looks superb decorated with a variety of objects and books standing in the middle of a room.
