Exceptional quality Regency period, figured mahogany tambour top Desk. The tambour shutter opening to reveal a leather lined, ratcheted writing surface and sunken tray for pens and ink, and a second, horizontally opening pair of tambour shutters, concealing satinwood faced small drawers and pigeon holes behind. Below are a pair of well figured panelled and concave fronted cupboard doors, flanked by intricately carved and spirally reeded columns, terminating in carved lions feet.
