Regency Mahogany Side Cabinet.

A fine quality Regency period mahogany side cabinet. Having exceptionally well figured rectangular top, over two frieze drawers retaining original brass knobs and two brass grilled panelled doors. Flanked by elegant spiral twist turned columns headed by elegant foliate carved decoration. Terminating on original turned bun feet.

This fine quality side cabinet dates to the regency period. It has been constructed from the best mahogany timber which would have been available at the time and even the secondary timbers which includes drawer linings etc are made from high grade mahogany, which is a sure fire sign of quality and suggests an item would certainly have been made in a top workshop of the time.

The cabinet is in good condition overall, retaining its original brass knobs and original brass grilles. The upholstery behind the brass grilles is very recent and the panels can easily be removed allowing for the purchaser to have the panels recovered in any fabric of their choice, should the current green not be to their personal taste.

Perfect for a variety of different spots around both the home and office this particular cabinet is almost the perfect size. It boasts a large amount of storage in both cupboards and drawers, yet its relatively shallow dimensions allow it to be used in such a huge amount of different ways.

As with all items which we offer for sale this regency side cabinet has been attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled, well trained, antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish to ensure that it is in tip top showroom condition and ready to be placed immediately into the home, or office, before being offered for sale.
